+ What is required to hold my wedding at Walden Retreats?
In order to hold your wedding at our beautiful Texas Hill Country Wedding Venue:

We require that you work with a professional full-service coordinator to be on-site through the completion of your event.

We require you to hire a uniformed security guard.

We require you purchase Wedding Liability Insurance.
+ What is the deposit to reserve my wedding?
We will require a 50% non-refundable venue deposit with your signed contract and the remaining balance will be due 90 days prior to the event. We will also require an authorization form to guarantee the booking of any room block.
+ Do we have to reserve the guest rooms?
Walden is a unique Texas wedding venue with lodging. During our peak seasons, we require a full property buyout and will block rooms for your guests to book up until 30 days prior to the event. Any rooms that haven’t been booked by your guests will become your responsibility and the card on file will be charged for the remaining rooms. Please also note that weekend weddings require a 2-night guarantee for all rooms.
+ Will we need to work with a specific caterer?
Walden is a preferred Hill Country wedding venue by Brides and Grooms because we allow you work with the catering company of your choice, so your meal can be as unique as your love.
We are happy to provide you with a list of our trusted partners if you do not have a specific catering company in mind.
Any catering company you decide to work with must be approved by Walden Retreats.
+ Can I provide my own alcohol?
Walden is one of top choices for Texas Hill Country wedding venues by Brides and Grooms because we allow you to provide your own alcohol. A TABC-certified bartender must serve all alcohol provided and staffed by your caterer.
+ Who is responsible for cleaning up?
Your catering/coordinating team must stay until the end of your event and be sure the event space is left clean with tables and chairs folded and placed to the side. All rental and vendor items must be loaded at the end of your event. A cleaning fee will be applied to the master bill to cover the cost of a professional cleaning crew to deep clean the space
+ Are animals allowed at Walden?
If you're searching for a Hill Country wedding venue that allows animals, then look no further. Dogs are allowed to stay in our luxury tents with overnight guests. Horses and some other animals are also allowed on property and can be incorporated into your ceremony.
Please note: There will be a pet fee for any overnight guests with an animal.
